District - Several cyclists and motorcyclists were injured in accidents at the weekend, the police said.
A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Egenhofen, who fell alone, and a motorcyclist from Dachau were seriously injured in an accident in the Starnberg district.
The 57-year-old employee from Dachau was carried with her Ducati Monster near Dießen when turning right out of the curve into the oncoming lane on Sunday afternoon. According to the Starnberg police, it crashed head-on into the Audi A6 Avant of a 77-year-old businessman from Munich. The woman was thrown onto the windshield of the Audi and came to rest to the right of the vehicle, while the motorcycle was thrown back and came to a halt in front of the Audi. The biker was flown to an accident clinic with a suspected multiple trauma, seriously injured. The total damage amounts to around 25,000 euros. The cause of the accident must now be clarified by means of an expert opinion.
A 20-year-old motorcyclist from Egenhofen was seriously injured on Saturday afternoon when he was driving on State Road 2051 from Altstetten towards Wiedenzhausen when he lost control of his motorcycle, Honda, in a sharp left turn.
