Gelting - Two months ago he accompanied a live stream reading by Andreas Lechner in the ambush culture stage.

On Friday, Maxi Pongratz presented his solo program there and convinced with a refreshing mix of funny puns and virtuoso accordion playing.

At first, nothing in the life of the now 34-year-old indicated a career as a musician. “I'm actually a trained ornamental plant gardener,” revealed Pongratz. In this role, however, he mostly had to decorate the graves in cemeteries - a morbid range of tasks that did not make him happy. "500 graves planted all around by standing order: 'sauba beinand all year round", sang Pongratz in an autobiographical song. That is why the musician, who grew up in Oberammergau, founded the group Kofelgschroa together with three other colleagues at a young age, which, like the related LaBrassBanda, also filled large halls until a self-imposed band break in 2019. Maxi Pongratz, who temporarily lives in Obergiesing, is now concentrating on his solo career.

The title of the album “Musik für Flugräder”, which will be released in June, goes well with the decoration in the cultural stage for the recently founded airline (we reported). It also includes fast accordion instrumentals that some would like to dance to in the midst of a large crowd. "Hopefully the live streaming is over sometime," said Pongratz. In Gelting he had to read enthusiastic chat comments and the thunderous applause from ambush landlady Assunta Tammelleo and her Wolfratshauser city council colleague Dr. Ulrike Krischke are satisfied.

In her introductory greeting, Krischke asked for donations for the virtual hat and was pleased that Pongratz also performed an extended version of the Kofelgschroa hit "The Linen", which was published in 2012.

At this point in time at the latest, the "Fluggesellschaft Gelting 1" had reached another peak in their extensive livestream tour.
