At the wedding there was a special surprise for bride Franziska Eckert from Denklingen.
Her papa and her husband decorated the slope in a very special way.

- "The surprise was a success," says bride mother Sabine Lehner and laughs.
Her husband Georg and their son-in-law attached a cross and two white rings to the dump south of Denklingen using drainage fleece.
The occasion was the wedding in the Lehner house: Daughter Franziska (25) and her groom Gabriel Eckert said yes.

100 invited guests came to the service in the large church of St. Michael, which regularly seats up to 500 people.
The wedding date was set in December;
they did not want to postpone the church wedding in April until a later date or even into next year, emphasizes the bride.
Dean Oliver Grimm from the Fuchstal parish community says that it was not only the first wedding in Denklingen this year, but also the first wedding in the parish church since the outbreak of the corona pandemic.

A church wedding without a subsequent secular celebration: That is always something special.
But for her and her husband, who comes from Kornwestheim near Stuttgart, saying yes to the altar is important, says Franziska Eckert.
“We're not just Catholic on paper,” she adds.
The mass in Denklingen was celebrated by a father from the homeland of bridegroom Gabriel Eckert.
It was unusual for everyone that “it's over” with the wedding day right after church.
But the couple and the bride's mother are of the opinion that a celebration can be rescheduled and possibly scheduled at short notice if the regulations are relaxed again.

A few days before the wedding ceremony in April, Georg Lehner, the bride's father, and son-in-law Gabriel Eckert had put a lot of work and effort into creating a green heart as a floor plan on the property at the Halde. Then they drew two large rings and a cross with the drainage fleece - as a symbol for the marriage covenant and for faith. Franziska's younger sister and her partner also helped.

But Franziska Eckert was not entirely without a premonition.
Her husband did not reveal where and for what he was going.
But the day after he was hardly able to hide his sore muscles.
And that was clearly due to the ups and downs on the steep slope, says the bride with a smile.
The sore muscles go away - but love should be felt forever.
Little Xaver Kröner from Unterhausen has been the first baby to be born in the Weilheim hospital in almost four years - in the emergency room.
