Update from May 10th, 12.30 p.m.:

The warm weather in the Free State of Bavaria attracted many people to the streets yesterday, Mother's Day.

In Nuremberg this was particularly noticeable at the zoo.

As early as 10.30 a.m., the daily limit of 6500 visitors was reached, as

reported by

Nordbayern.de

.

The zoo had set up its own corona test station at the entrance.

An endless queue formed there and in front of the entrance to the zoo.

A visitor said to

Nordbayern.de

that it would be super fast at the entrance.

The visitor said that it was easy to avoid the crowds in spite of the large crowds.

You just have to know where.

According to

Nordbayern.de

, the situation at the entrance relaxed again around 2 p.m., only in front of the test station the visitors continued to queue and the parking spaces were almost completely full.

You could only come to the zoo after prior registration; anyone over six years of age who did not belong to the group of those who had recovered or had been vaccinated had to show a negative, maximum 24-hour old corona test.

FF2 masks were also required on the entire site.

Most of the visitors adhered to this, as

reported by

Nordbayern.de

, but there were also some people without a mask.

At times, visitors gathered in front of the to-go stands selling food and drinks.

Thus, a total of 120 new Corona * cases have been added, the number of deceased remains the same.

Corona in Nuremberg: Neighboring cities Erlangen and Schwabach are allowed to reopen outdoor restaurants, among other things

The cities of Erlangen * and Schwabach * can look forward to the easing since today (May 10th).

The incidence there has been below 100 for five days, which is why the outdoor catering and several cultural institutions can now open again.

The Bavarian State Ministry for Health and Care has given it the right to do so.

These offers are now allowed to reopen after the relaxation: beer gardens, outdoor areas in cafes or restaurants until 10 p.m., concert and opera houses and cinemas.

With every visit, guests must present a negative corona test, keep their distance and wear a mask.

Contact-free sport with the members of your own household as well as another household is also possible in a group of up to five people.
