At 5:30 this (10th) afternoon, a middle-aged woman was found floating and sinking off the Kwun Tong Ferry Pier. After witnessing enthusiastic citizens, she immediately threw down her lifebuoy to rescue her and called the police for help. Marine police and fire boats arrived at the scene one after another

At 5:30 this (10th) afternoon, a middle-aged woman was found floating and sinking off the Kwun Tong Ferry Pier. After witnessing enthusiastic citizens, she immediately threw down her lifebuoy to rescue her and called the police for help.

The marine police and the fire boat arrived at the scene one after another, rescued her in the lifebuoy and sent her back to the shore. She was not injured and was sent to the hospital by an ambulance for inspection.

The police are investigating why the female victim fell into the sea.

Sources at the scene stated that the woman, aged between 50 and 60, was suspected of having emotional problems and fell into the sea off of the fountain in Kwun Tong Waterfront Park.

A middle-aged woman fell into the sea off Kwun Tong Pier and was rescued by the fire and sent to hospital.
