Duchess Camilla follows in Prince Philips 'footsteps: After his funeral, she now takes on the role of Colonel of the Soldiers' Regiment.
Bulford - This is her first public appearance since Prince Philip's funeral on April 17, 2021. Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall and wife of Prince Charles, visited British Army soldiers on May 7th.
They come from the 5th Battalion of the Rifles Infantry Regiment, based in Bulford, Wiltshire.
Duchess Camilla: Transferred role was Philips' last public engagement
The battalion has just returned from a mission tour from Estonia and welcomed Duchess Camilla in her new role as colonel of the regiment.
This task was previously held by Prince Philip - Camilla is now his successor.
An emotional moment, as Camilla was only made colonel in July 2020, Prince Philip's last public engagement.
For this important occasion, the Duchess wore her new regimental coat dress in dark green with black horn buttons and a rifles brooch.
Underneath, Camilla wore a dress designed by Fiona Clare.
