A serious accident occurred on Monday afternoon on the Kesselberg.
A motorcyclist lost control of his machine at too high a speed and crashed into the rock face.

Not surprising that there were quite a few bikers on the Kesselberg.
However, around 1.30 p.m. there was a serious motorcycle accident on the Kesselberg route on Bundesstraße 11 between Urfeld and Walchensee.

A 33-year-old man from Munich tasted the winding route with his Husqvarna - however, according to the trail picture and witness statements, he was driving far too fast.
As police witnesses reported, the man from Munich had already been conspicuous immediately beforehand on the Kesselberg route because of his aggressive driving style and several illegal overtaking maneuvers.
Shortly before the village of Walchensee, the 33-year-old lost control of his motorcycle.
In the further course he came off the road to the right and finally crashed into the rock face.
He sustained serious injuries in the fall.

"His condition was too critical for an air rescue by helicopter, so he had to be brought to the Murnau Accident Clinic by ambulance (RTW Kochel)," reports the Walchensee water rescue service, who were on site as first aiders with a total of three emergency services. They also took over the first aid for the injured person and the first measures to secure the accident site with traffic control.
According to the police report, the rescue helicopter "Christoph Murnau" was still there to drop an emergency doctor at the scene of the accident.
The motorcycle that had to be towed was totaled for around 8,000 euros.
The road maintenance department suffered damage in the smaller three-digit range.
Due to the improper driving style, the casualty can expect further fine proceedings.
No other vehicles or people were involved in the accident itself.
