At about 9 pm today (10th), a traffic accident occurred at the Kwu Tung section of the Castle Peak Road in Lok Ma Chau near the Kwu Tung Village Office, which involved a New Territories taxi and a private car.
The private car then shoveled onto the sidewalk on the side of the road, swept away the barbed wire, and crashed into a big tree on the side of the road.
Rescuers received the report and rushed to the scene. The private car driver was injured on his forehead. He was soberly sent to the North District Hospital by ambulance for treatment.
The front of the private car involved was severely damaged, hit a dent, and the front cover was deformed.
The police are investigating the cause of the accident.
