- Going new ways and discovering cultural or natural treasures: To this end, the tourism department in the Freising district, in cooperation with the district communities and the ILE Kulturraum Ampertal, has prepared and digitized the most beautiful tour tips in the region for hiking and walking. The routes, some of which are well-known, some of which are still undiscovered, as part of the “Walk out!” Campaign range from leisurely walks to long hikes. Far away from the hustle and bustle, they lead through magnificent landscapes, pristine forest areas, quiet nature reserves and recreation areas as well as attractive bathing lakes and cultural treasures. The "Walk out" campaign comprises a total of 14 round trips with a length of four to 17 kilometers in the entire Freising region between the Hallertau in the north, the Garching Heath in the south,between Ampertal and Isar. Further routes are to follow. All tours offer designated parking facilities, a quiet route away from busy roads as well as cozy refreshment stops and beer gardens along the route.

"With the Rausspaziert! -Tours we want to provide the local population with ideas and tips for a walk in between or an excursion on Sunday afternoon with the whole family and to help them get to know the natural and cultural treasures of their own region better," sums up Martina Mayer, tourism officer at the Freising District Office.
“We made sure to indicate parking facilities on all tours in order to avoid wildlife parking.
In addition, we want to strengthen the local restaurants by taking into account opportunities to stop for refreshments along the route as soon as the incidence values make it possible to relax again, ”Mayer continues.

So take a walk: immerse yourself in the Upper Bavarian Renaissance on the 17 kilometer chapel tour near Hohenkammer, get to know the river landscape in the Ampertal on the Amperrund tour, start the Echinger two-lake tour or stroll past hop gardens on the small Auer tour.
Whichever tour you choose, there is something for every taste and requirement.
