In the face of these crimes, the Palestinians continue their steadfastness and steadfastness on their land and their defense of it, affirming their adherence to the right of refugees to return to their homes from which they were forcibly displaced, a right affirmed by the United Nations in its Resolution 194 of 1948, which is still far from being implemented and is nothing more than a letter on paper in light of Western support. The Supreme Committee for the Commemoration of the Nakba announced in a statement the launch of a series of popular events that include national, local, Arab and international campaigns affirming the adherence to the right of the Palestinian refugees to return to their villages and cities from which the Zionist gangs deported them in 1948, and to denounce the brutal crimes of the occupation in the Gaza Strip, explaining that during these activities it will raise The Palestinian flag on the rooftops and the keys symbolizing the Right of Return.

Head of the Refugee Affairs Department of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Chairman of the Supreme Committee for the Commemoration of the Nakba, Ahmed Abu Houli, explained in a statement to the SANA reporter that the commemoration activities include media activities, digital events and national events, indicating that the digital activities were launched last Tuesday through a multilingual media campaign and programs on social media platforms Under the slogan "Our steadfastness is our way back," and will last for ten days.

Abu Huli indicated that these activities will convey to the world dozens of messages related to the rights of Palestinian refugees, especially their right to return to their homes in accordance with Resolution 194, the United Nations demand to lift the historical injustice against them in addition to shedding light on the aggression of the occupation on the Gaza Strip and the crimes of ethnic cleansing and forced displacement that it commits in Jerusalem. The occupied and Al-Aqsa Mosque, as well as the demand of the signatories of the International Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination to hold the Israeli occupation accountable for its crimes and to intervene to stop them.

Abu Huli pointed out that the events commemorating the Nakba aim to strengthen global solidarity with the Palestinian cause, remind the international community of the Nakba, and affirm the Palestinian people's adherence to Jerusalem as the eternal capital of the State of Palestine.

The coordinator of the refugee department in the Palestinian national forces, Mahmoud Khalaf stated that the Palestinian people remember the chapters of the Nakba, which has been going on for 73 years of suffering, pain and oppression, as all United Nations decisions on the right of Palestinian refugees to return remained locked in the drawers of the international organization, pointing out that the international community is required to support the rights of the Palestinian people And lifting the historical injustice that was inflicted upon him and stopping the occupation crimes against him, especially in the Gaza Strip, which caused hundreds of martyrs and wounded.

Khalaf indicated that the Palestinian people, through their resistance in the Gaza Strip, Jerusalem and the West Bank, are defending the right of return and will drop all Judaization and settlement plans, stressing that the resistance path is the only one to achieve this and that rights are not forfeited by the statute of limitations.

A member of the political bureau of the Palestinian People's Party, Talaat Safadi, pointed out that the displacement of the residents of 531 Palestinian cities and villages by the Zionist gangs in 1948 and the perpetration of more than 70 massacres with the help of Britain and the colonial powers is a crime that continues until now, as residential neighborhoods are bombed and children and women are killed in the Gaza Strip while society suffices Silent.

Safadi stressed that the right of return of six and a half million refugees is a sacred right, and it will be fulfilled over time or shortly, again affirming that the resistance of the Palestinian people and their steadfastness on their land has proven to all the world the Palestinians' adherence to their rights and has charted the path of liberation and return.
