Because the boarding house east of the thermal bath, in which a number of employees recently lived, can be used again for guests as soon as the thermal bath is allowed to reopen.
"There were already quite specific plans to expand the Hotel Victory," remembers Bernitzky.
But in view of the economic situation caused by Corona, they would have been unnecessary for the time being.
The boarding house has almost 100 rooms, 27 of which were rented to employees.
Nine rooms can now be moved into the glass dome.
"It is our goal to rent the boarding house completely to guests," says Bernitzky.
The former hotel is currently being modernized and rebuilt.
A common room and kitchen are new, and the furniture is also being replaced.
"Our people should feel comfortable there and also have a sense of togetherness."
Even if the expansion plans at Thermenallee have been put on hold for the time being, there will still be a small expansion, announced Bernitzky.
"We are building five additional rooms on the garden level."
The thermal bath itself is hoping for an opening perspective after May 21, announced authorized signatory Marcus Maier in an interview with our newspaper.
