They were moments of surprise and startle those vivierron in downtown Merlo last

Sunday afternoon,

when a Ford Mustang

out of control

ended up

hitting front

against a lamppost and climbing on the sidewalk

.

By a miracle, there were no casualties and the only year was the one that the expensive vehicle suffered.

The accident occurred at the

intersection of Victoriano Loza street with Calle Real avenue

, just over a kilometer from the Merlo train station, the Sarmiento line railway, and just one kilometer from the Eva Perón Municipal Hospital.

According to sources in the case,

the driver

of the Mustang, a

22-year-old young man

who was identified as

Jonathan Díaz

,

would have lost control

of the high-end vehicle "after performing

a bad maneuver

" to end up hitting one of the light poles head-on from the block, in the first instance.

This is how the Mustang was left, which took a pole in the center of Merlo.

Later, the car

also hit the front of a shop

that was closed and with the blinds down.

The postcard of that moment, with

the post on top of the hood and windshield

, went viral on social networks in the last hours.

Despite the heavy collision, which culminated in a large part of the car's trunk smashed, there were no casualties.

The young man who was driving

suffered some blows

and was

assisted on the spot

by Civil Defense personnel from the Commune and by the Volunteer Firefighters.

The injuries he suffered were not serious, so he did not require a transfer to any health center.

The car ended up at the 1st Police Station in Merlo.

The luxury car, which costs $ 95,000 for 0 km, was parked at the 1st Police Station in Merlo.

The

Ford Mustang

, as specified by the same company, became the

best-selling sports car in

the last year even despite the coronavirus pandemic.

There were 80,577 global sales made

in 2020

, according to the most recent IHS Markit vehicle data registry.

In Argentina, the price of the car is

approximately $ 95,000

.

The GT model has a ten-speed transmission and a five-liter V8 engine with four valves per cylinder and variable valve timing.

Those characteristics allow it to offer a maximum power of 466 horsepower at 7,000 revolutions with a maximum torque of 569 Newton meters (NM) at 4600 revolutions per minute.

Tragedy in Tigre

On the same Sunday of the episode in Merlo, but during the early morning and in Tigre,

another luxury car

also

driven by a young man

starred in an accident that did

end in tragedy

.

Joaquín Duhalde Bisi (19), who was at the wheel of an

Audi A4

, also lost control of the vehicle -which is owned by his father- on the

Camino de los Remeros

and

killed two of his three friends

who were traveling with him in the vehicle.

The driver, who

survived the shocking collision

with a metal signaling column and ended up tearing off the guardrail, was driving without registration (he had been seized for not having the Vehicle Technical Verification up to date) and with 1.39 grams of alcohol in his blood, almost triple what is allowed by law. He

remains in detention

after it was found that he only suffered minor injuries.
