Today, the Brazilian Ministry of Health announced the registration of 74,592 cases and 2,383 new deaths from the Corona virus, which causes the “Covid 19” infection, during the last 24 hours.
Reuters quoted the ministry as saying that the number of recorded infections with Coronavirus infection rose in the country during the past 24 hours to 74,592 cases, bringing the total number to the level of 15.4 million cases.
The ministry stated that it had detected 2,383 new deaths caused by the disease, bringing the death toll from the pandemic in the country to 430,417 people, with a lethality rate of 2.8 percent.
Brazil recorded the second largest death toll from the virus in the world after the United States and the third highest number of infections after the United States and India, and in recent weeks it has faced sharp increases for both indicators.
