The Tatel group opens a new space in the Pedro Larumbe store and hires Jorge Dávila to take care of the expansion and new openings

The Tatel group expands. The company, which belongs to Mabel Capital, whose partners are

Abel Matutes, Manuel Campo and Rafael Nadal,

whom they accompany in restoration projects, under the banner of

Mabel Hospitality,

footballer

Cristiano Ronaldo and basketball players Pau Gasol and Rudy Fernández ,

prepares for the opening of the Tatel restaurant in Beverly Hills (Los Angeles) for next July. This new headquarters, whose stoves will be handled by chef Luigi Fineo, with two Michelin stars, is part of the global strategy of international and national expansion that the group will undertake in the coming months. The objective, according to company sources: to bring the wealth of Mediterranean gastronomy to the world.

Detail of the Italian restaurant that will open in Madrid.

Another famous opening is planned for the month of September in Madrid, a few meters from where Tatel is located, on Paseo de la Castellana. In the space occupied by the

Pedro Larumbe

restaurant, a restaurant with traditional Italian cuisine will be opened, with pastas and stews in pots and pans, with Italian raw materials, but also proximity, online, they assure in the group, with the commitment they maintain with sustainability. It is a

600 square meter space with capacity for 200 diners

, which will have live music every day of the week, like the neighboring Tatel. This new gastronomic concept will be developed by the group's executive chef, Julio Miralles, who previously worked in Zalacaín.

To shape and promote the businesses that they have open so far in Madrid and Ibiza, as in the next openings planned in Miami, Europe and Arab countries, the group has signed

Jorge Dávila

,

one of the references in the management of the room restoration in Spain.

National Gastronomy Award 2012, recognition he obtained for his career in the Piñera restaurant, he directed the gastronomic project of the Álbora Group, made up of Álbora and A'Barra, under whose direction both restaurants obtained a Michelin star.

He also took care of the opening of Joselito's ham shops.

Jorge Dávila and chef Julio Miralles.

After leaving the group, Dávila embarked on a new path, away from glitter and tinsel.

Together with the chef

Óscar Portal, he

opened last summer and in the middle of the pandemic, Vollea, a gastronomic proposal of high level in the cafeteria of a paddle club in Pozuelo.

An honest concept, with a menu based on good raw materials and quality service, with which they have already achieved a loyal clientele.

They are not the only achievements.

In a few months they will open a new rice store, Bombastic, in the Chueca neighborhood of Madrid, in addition to the opening of a sweetbread (a proposal focused on the muffin) in the center of the capital.

Because one of the objectives of Dávila and Portal is to bring the successful concept of Vollea cuisine to

beach clubs

and sports centers throughout Spain.

Another of the

hallmarks of

Tatel's restaurants is design, which is handled by the Mabel Design division, an interior design studio owned by Mabel Capital and directed by Marta Fueyo, who for years worked in London for the Soho group House.
