Ever wonder what it would be like to ride a glass elevator up the side of one of the tallest skyscrapers in New York?

Well, visitors will soon be able to do just that thanks to Summit One Vanderbilt, a new attraction opening at the One Vanderbilt Tower in Manhattan this October.

The Ascent, an all-glass enclosed elevator, will travel 369 meters outside the building, providing exciting views of the city.

Those looking for something even more daring can opt for Levitation, a collection of clear glass boxes that jut out from the tower, suspending visitors 98 meters above Madison Avenue.

Both will be found in the four-level, 6,000-square-foot observation deck and entertainment area that opens atop One Vanderbilt.

The $ 3.3 billion building stands at 130 meters, making it the fourth tallest in New York City.

The highest is the One World Trade Center, which measures 165 meters.

Summit One Vanderbilt will have a cafe called Après, a terrace bar, food stalls and "the world's tallest outdoor urban alpine meadow."

Meanwhile, the team at new media boutique creative agency Kenzo Digital has designed an immersive art installation, which will soon be unveiled for the observation deck.
