The IDF attacked a large number of targets in the northern Gaza Strip last night (Friday), most of them towards launch pits. The attacks involved artillery batteries and firing from navy vessels. This is one of the largest air force attacks in recent years, carried out over a period of about twenty minutes. Following the incident, Palestinians reported mass exodus from populated areas in northern Gaza to the south. the fear, it said, is the Israeli invasion.

The UN Security Council will convene on Sunday at 5:00 p.m., Israel time, for the first open discussion on the fighting in Gaza.
