As of May 13, the Robert Koch Institute (RKI) includes ten countries: Botswana, Brazil, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), India, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia, Zimbabwe and South Africa.

Even non-vaccinated people who have not yet been infected and therefore have not built up antibodies can actually bypass quarantine after a stay in a risk area with a seven-day incidence of over 50.
However, a negative corona test is required for this, which can be uploaded via the entry portal of the Federal Republic of Germany.
This regulation makes summer trips in Europe easier for families in particular if the parents have already been vaccinated and the offspring has not yet received a prick.
Anyone entering from a risk area must be able to prove no later than 48 hours after arrival that they do not suffer from the coronavirus.
The submission can be requested up to ten days after entry.
In addition to a test result, a corresponding medical certificate can also be presented.

In addition to the risk areas and the virus variant areas, the RKI also speaks of so-called high incidence areas from the threshold of 200. This list currently includes more than 40 nations, including France, Croatia and the Netherlands.
When returning from high-incidence areas, it should remain that the quarantine can be shortened after five days at the earliest with a negative test.
Returnees from virus variant areas must continue to quarantine at home for 14 days, which cannot be shortened by testing.
The quarantine regulation is currently valid until June 30, 2021.
The SPD health expert Karl Lauterbach was confident about the summer, but also warned about the autumn. “The numbers are developing very positively. Nothing stands in the way of a relaxed summer with significant easing if we don't get careless now, ”Lauterbach told the

"However, to prevent a fourth wave in the fall, we need to take precautions, especially for those returning from traveling," he added.
At least 20 percent of the population would be without protection for the foreseeable future because they cannot or do not want to be vaccinated.
"We therefore already need strict tests at the airports and quarantine of travelers until the test result is available for those who come from mutation areas," demanded the SPD politician.
