Shisui's legacy: Netanyahu stands above all those responsible for the burning hatred in Israel

The whole essence of the discourse of symmetry is to absolve the government and its head of responsibility, under whom a castrated and humiliated police force operates that does not address anarchy in the streets.

I have walked around a lot in the last few days on the Arab and Jewish streets of Ramla and Lod. Some despair. I do not pretend to pretend to be an expert in the processes that the cities involved in Israel have undergone in particular, and the cities of the social (not geographical) periphery in general. But one has to be blind and foolish to think that one incident, one way or another, in al-Aqsa or Sheikh Jarrah, and even a rocket fired from the Gaza Strip into the central region, is the real reason for this fire. Every alley in these cities sits on an infinite layer of hatred, as if waiting, even if for years, for someone or something, to awaken them, and give them the opportunity to break out and scatter destruction and death.

Within this reality, it turns out, there are quite a few Israeli citizens, Arabs and Jews, who in a second are ready to become murderers, murderers for real. Take a person and kill him with their bare hands just because of his ethnic origin. To catch a pedestrian in Acre after being identified as a Jew, then to hit him in the face and body until he loses consciousness, if he dies then he will die, if he is not sent to hospital and we will see how he gets out of it; Or, on the other hand, to catch an Arab passenger, pull him out of the vehicle, hit him until he loses consciousness, and so on, or he will die or he will become disabled. Who cares.

The word "symmetry" is repeated in public discourse time and time again.

Is it allowed to do symmetry, or is it not allowed to do symmetry?

I think there is some confusion.

Hamas is a despicable and murderous enemy of the State of Israel, which must be fought.

He deliberately shoots civilians to kill them, and we defend ourselves.

Sometimes more successfully, and sometimes less.

The Arab citizens of Israel are not an enemy.

Since we annexed, and legally, their cities and towns in 1948, they have been equal citizens here.

The public discourse on "symmetry, yes or no" ?, is a discourse whose whole essence is to absolve the executive branch, its arms, and especially its leader, of the anarchy that pervades the streets;

Assign the rioters to the responsibility of the enemies, and then as if the government is fine.

simple.

The lynching in Bat Yam, this week (Photo: Reuven Castro)

In a justice-seeking country, anyone who participated in these heinous lynchings in Acre, Bat Yam, Lod, Ramla, Jaffa and Jerusalem should have already been arrested with an indictment.

But in Israel, law enforcement agencies are on the verge of bankruptcy.

This is related, among other things, to the criminal neglect of the Israel Police for many years, just like the neglect of the cities of the social periphery and the cities involved, but really not only.

We will make life too easy for ourselves if we recognize the problem only at its edge.

It is clear that a crime-ridden country, where potential killers have been roaming unhindered for years, is a country whose leadership has neglected it at best, and deliberately destroyed parts of it at worst.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has moved away from the stage where it can be said of him: "He is not responsible for all the ills in this country. Not everything is related to his time."

A prime minister who leads Israel continuously for 12 years is a prime minister who has all the patients in the country on his shoulders.

And he is inextricably responsible for it.

Where to begin?

It's hard to decide.

The riots in Lod, this week (Photo: Niv Aharonson)

Netanyahu is the one responsible for having a castrated police force under him, lacking sufficient capabilities.

Instead of investing efforts and thoughts in increasing its power building and developing its operational capabilities, he has been busy for years attacking, weakening and humiliating it, like the rest of law enforcement, all due to the fact that they dared to investigate suspicions of corruption against him that led to indictments.

Who among you thinks I take out the slander of the prime minister, who will give me one credible explanation, what is exactly the reason why under his government he has not been appointed commissioner for more than two years? Do you perceive this disturbing figure?

Former Commissioner Roni Alshikh, who led Netanyahu's investigations (which is of course the real reason why his tenure was not extended), resigned in December 2018. Since then, the sovereign Netanyahu government has not found a good enough servant. State Attorney Shai Nitzan, who was also responsible According to Netanyahu's indictments, he left his post at the end of 2019. Since then, he has not been appointed a replacement, only because Netanyahu was unwilling to give up his desire to appoint a person to serve him in this position as well, so these two systems, which believe in crime prevention in Israel For an inconceivable period (a state attorney has not yet been appointed), solely because of Netanyahu's indictments, this is the truth that should be shouted at non-stop, as long as we do not lose our voice.

It should be said in a clear voice: the police do not give an answer

As the operator of this mission, Netanyahu located the most effective eunuch - MK Amir Ohana. To illustrate, exactly a year ago, in May 2020, the replacement government was sworn in where Ohana was appointed Minister of Police. Only eight months later Ohana elected a new commissioner. In this case, there was no way to impose any ridiculous blame on any Goldberg Commission, or on any High Court. There was no obstacle to Ohana and Netanyahu, not even "blue and white."

It will only be mentioned that this period, before the appointment of Kobi Shabtai as commissioner, was characterized by the huge demonstrations in Balfour. While police chiefs competed for the role of commissioner, Ohana chose to interfere rudely with the degree of force the police had to use in these demonstrations. In media interviews he even boasted that this was his job, and that he did not come to be a flowerpot in his office. fantastic. His attitude seems to have changed little since the disaster in Meron, and since Jewish and Arab blood was shed on the streets of Israel, almost unhindered.

The minister, once a very active tweeter, has in recent weeks contented himself with the following tweet, referring to the court's decision to extend the arrest of the man who shot to death a resident of Lod: Minister of Public Works.

Had that been the case, they would have been released.

The enforcement system will do well if it behaves that way. " It's all based on "a text based on" what would I do if I had powers ", and that's while he does nothing in powers he has. After the disaster Meron said he would speak after" burying our dead ".

The helplessness of a castrated police.

Saturn and Ohana (Photo: Flash 90, Jonathan Zindel)

In defense of the new commissioner, Kobi Shabtai, it will be said that within a short period of time we will have to deal with a sequence of insane events that no commissioner before has dealt with anything like it.

In his case it is really impossible to throw all the sand into his mouth.

On the other hand, it should be said in a clear and loud voice: the police do not respond to citizens who are frightened to walk the streets.

Before my eyes, near the Azrieli Mall in Ramla, I saw how rioters, wearing black shirts, smashing the windshields of passing vehicles, and the policemen whose incident takes place under their noses, are content with a minimal distance of the rioters to the sidewalk opposite.

Only later in the evening did a few arrests begin.

A greater helplessness was discovered the day before by the police when Arab rioters burned synagogues in Lod and Ramla, and harmed Jewish passers-by.

Saturn came up with many detailed plans for his role. Apparently, the operational field is his strong point, given that he spent most of his career in the police at the Border Police. In the country, the police statement on this matter is not folkloristic - but backed by facts.

However, the attempt by the police to place public responsibility for what is happening on the streets on the Arab leadership, for example, will not succeed. Not that the Arab leadership has no responsibility. On the contrary: it is quite clear that it has a central part in the blood spilled in the streets. With the exception of the present and clear things of Issawi Frij, we did not find a shred of real leadership in them, but the person responsible for the crime in the streets is the Israel Police, which receives its power from the Israeli government and its leader. Therefore, instead of attacking the Arab leadership, the police should focus on assertive demands for resources and manpower from the government that has been neglecting it for years, and that is mostly neglecting the cities where crime is rampant. The government not only did not promote coexistence between Jews and Arabs during its years, but on the contrary: core hatred, hatred and division. Let us mention again the "Arab voters are moving in huge numbers to the polls"? Itamar Ben Gvir, who the commissioner believes is deliberately igniting a Jewish intifada in Israel, entered the Knesset solely because Netanyahu wanted him to be there. After all, what is spreading hatred from the Knesset?Compared to the survival of his rule.

Many are responsible for the burning hatred

When one wants to understand the mindset of a prime minister at any given time, one should simply go for his human amplifiers.

Remember the public campaign of Shimon Riklin and Winon Magal against Bezalel Smutrich's refusal to accept Mansour Abbas as a supporter of the new Netanyahu government?

Remember how they explained to us how important cooperation is with the Arab population, and that their problem is with the instigators in Arab society, and not with the citizens?

Well, on Tuesday morning, when a rocket landed in the village of Dahmash, near Lod, a village without official status, in which of course no shelters were built, Khalil Awad, 52, and Nadine, his 16-year-old daughter, lost their lives.

Riklin, the man most identified with Netanyahu in the Israeli media, who often called him "the messenger of Gd," tweeted: "Their sword will come to their hearts. Two Arabs were killed in Lod by a missile fired by Hamas. I call it poetic justice."

When one of his Twitter supporters remarked to him that maybe it was the gas, he replied: "Too bad only 2."

Riklin did not know the two, of course, he did not even know if they might have accidentally fallen in the statistics of Arab Likud voters, he did not know which Jewish friends they have.

He only knew one thing about their identity - they are Arabs.

This man is a public opinion leader in Israel 2021 in Netanyahu's name, leads a TV show in Netanyahu's name, and is in great demand in other studios, just because he speaks on Netanyahu's behalf.

Ricklin is the clearest and most discouraging expression of what we have become - a state of hatred.

Riklin is Netanyahu's rude and blunt amplifier.

The prime minister is the one who introduced the racist Itamar Ben Gvir into the Knesset of Israel with his own hands, the one that glorious Likud governments saw as holding a despicable ideology that took place outside the borders of Israeli discourse, the one when his leader spoke in the Knesset. Between Jews and Arabs.

A legacy of hatred and agitation.

Netanyahu (Photo: Flash 90, Yonatan Zindel)

Yes, there are many responsible for the burning hatred in Israel - the poor Arab leadership, which fails to stand proudly against its voters at the ballot box and block rioters who come to harm Jews, just because they are Jews;

From the heart of hatred on both sides, that such periods are their heyday, and police who have been castrated for years.

Above all is the responsibility of the man who brought Israeli society to this situation during his 12 years of rule, the man who neglected Jews and Arabs in the geographical and social periphery of the State of Israel, who let Lod be under a committee called for so many years,

The man who decided to wreak havoc on Israeli law enforcement, just because of his criminal records.

The man whose hatred, agitation and sowing of fear are the tenets of his practical and ideological legacy.
