The new crown pneumonia epidemic has not yet subsided, and it has been calm after a week. The Centre for Health Protection held a press conference today (15th) to announce 3 new confirmed cases in Hong Kong, of which 2 were imported cases and 1 was a local case with unknown source of infection.
The local patient is a 4-year-old boy who lives in Block 13 of Yijing Building in Ho Man Tin and Pak Tin Village in Shek Kip Mei.
He attended the Homantin Hanshi Kindergarten, and the last class was held on May 12. About 20 teachers and students were required to be sent to the quarantine hotel.
In addition, there are less than 5 preliminary confirmed cases in Hong Kong today, mainly imported cases, of which there are no local cases with unknown origins.

Zhang Zhujun, director of the Department of Infectious Diseases of the Center for Health Protection, said that the local patient with unknown source of infection was a 4-year-old boy (#11822).
He has two residences, including Yijing Building, Homantin, and Block 13, Pak Tin Village, Shek Kip Mei. He lives in these two places each half of the week.
The boy has 5 to 6 family members living with him, including his grandmother and grandmother; his parents both work in restaurants, his mother works in the Tsui Yuen restaurant on Chung On Street, Tsuen Wan, and his father works in the water bar at 608 Ice Room in Lai Chi Kok. Check regularly.
The boy usually stays at home and goes to school. On May 9th, he and his family went to eat at Ho Man Tin Restaurant.
The confirmed boy had visited the restaurant, Shimei Xuan, and the restaurant was open as usual in the afternoon. The person in charge, Mr. Du, said that he had been notified by the FEHD and would later go to the restaurant to collect the information sheets filled out by customers on May 9.
He said that the restaurant has been disinfected and will check with the FEHD staff if it will request a suspension of business, saying that he will follow the department's instructions.
The boy attends Homantin Hanshi Kindergarten (Chief Lung) at No. 2 Freedom Road, Homantin. He started the last class on May 12. He had fever and sore throat that night. He went to Tsing Yi Doctor Yang Chaofa’s clinic on May 13 for medical treatment and delivered bottles at noon. The test result was inconclusive, but the test result was confirmed by the laboratory of the Department of Health to confirm the diagnosis.
Its CT value is more than 30, because the amount of virus is too low to test whether it is a variant virus.
Zhang Zhujun revealed that his virus and antibody test results were negative after he was admitted to the hospital.
Zhang Zhujun inferred that the route of infection might be school or family members. "For the time being, it is difficult to say that it is because of pollution. You have to be patient. Less than 10% of people may not have antibodies, even if they have been infected before."
He is in class K1B of the school. There are about 17 classmates in the same class. "It is estimated that the masks are not in good condition." Together with the teachers, more than 20 people are required to be quarantined.
Since the quarantine persons are mainly children, the Department of Health will arrange them to the quarantine hotel and parents can also accompany them.
The Food and Health Bureau has contacted the Social Welfare Department and will provide them with toys, books and other materials.
The Ho Man Tin Hanshi Kindergarten (Long Chief) issued a notice stating that students usually do activities in the classrooms and do not engage in group activities. The school has been strictly implementing cleaning and disinfection work. The school staff also conduct regular tests every 10 days.
The school has immediately set up a response team to coordinate various arrangements and make proper preparations, and get to know the relevant government departments closely.
The school will also suspend classes for 14 days from May 15 to May 29, and immediately arrange for a professional cleaning company to arrive at the school for disinfection work.
The school also stated that 16 students, 10 faculty and related persons in the same class as the boy need to stay in a quarantine hotel for 14 days.
The sick child is currently staying in the hospital. The fever has disappeared and his condition is stable. The head teacher tested negative yesterday, and the students in the same class are temporarily in good condition.

On the 12th day, the sample was positive; and case #11821 was a 21-year-old foreign domestic helper. , Arrived in Hong Kong by flight CX2780 from Indonesia on May 7 and was quarantined at the Gorgeous Causeway Hotel in Wan Chai. The samples were positive on the 7th day; both of them were non-mutated virus strains.
