Almost four decades in the service of Gartler

In 2019, Johann Rötzer resigned as first chairman of the Garden Friends.

Due to his services to the well-being of the small gardeners at the Amper, he was already appointed honorary chairman.

Fürstenfeldbruck - The sad news quickly spread among the gardeners that Johann Rötzer died shortly after his 76th birthday. Johann Rötzer had been in the service of the gardening friends since 1981 and held numerous functions on the board of the allotment garden association "Amperstadt", as the association's official name is. From the secretary to the treasurer and vice-chairman to the chairman, Rötzer took on the worries and concerns of allotment gardeners for almost four decades.

Rötzer was also at home in the district town professionally. First twelve years as a contract soldier with the Air Force Pioneer Training Company at the air base. Then he took up the civil service career and made a career in the site administration (now Bundeswehrdienstleistungszentrum). For his extraordinary services he was awarded the Medal of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany. In the last few years of his professional career, he moved to Munich to work on the site administration there, where he was mainly involved in the processing of Bundeswehr barracks that were to be closed.

His heart beat for FC Bayern in terms of sport. He himself played successfully in his younger years both in the civil air base selection and later with the old men of SC Fürstenfeldbruck. After more than 50 years in the district town, the family last moved near their son near Bad Aibling, as Rötzer was recently in very poor health.
