The building is being built on the site of the former Faculty of Design at the University of Applied Sciences at Infanteriestraße 14. Demolition work on the existing building has been underway since November 2020.

Rapid price development in Munich
An existing condominium for less than 3000 euros per square meter?
Almost impossible in Munich.
Even for 5000 euros you will hardly find a place to stay in the state capital.
This is the result of a survey by the Real Estate Association Germany (IVD) for 2020.
According to this, 97.3 percent of the apartments recorded in this study were assigned to a price category above 5000 euros. This makes Munich the country's lone leader. In all other major Bavarian cities, 80 to 90 percent of condominiums are available for less than 5,000 euros per square meter. The average price for a condominium in Munich (good quality) was 8,000 euros per square meter in autumn 2020. In 2010 it was 3050 euros. In 2013, the average purchase price was 4100 euros.
According to IVD, the prices for condominiums in Munich have doubled within seven years.
For single-family houses, the real estate association has even determined four times the value of 2010.
Across Bavaria, the price per square meter for a condominium is on average 4120 euros, in Upper Bavaria it is 4920 euros.
The expert committee for property values in Munich also comes to the conclusion in its market evaluation for 2020: The prices for condominiums in average and good residential areas rose by seven percent.
