The restaurateurs have been waiting for this moment for half a year: Since the Corona incidence in the Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen district has been below 100 for days, they are again allowed to entertain guests outside.

However, the great enthusiasm does not want to break out.

Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen - Many innkeepers are relieved that things are going in the right direction with regard to the easing, but money can hardly be earned with outdoor catering alone.

Apart from the fact that the current situation demands a lot of flexibility.

"It is logistical madness," says Monika Poschenrieder, landlady of the Tölzer Forellenhof Walgerfranz and district chairwoman of the hotel and restaurant association.

She has reduced the menu to a few products.

For days she thought about which goods to order.

Nevertheless, the uncertainty remains: "You can never plan one hundred percent because you don't know what the weather will be like."

Guests don't understand if you don't open the beer gardens

The guests are in the same unpleasant situation when they are planning private celebrations such as baptisms and communions: “When it rains, you can't let people sit outside.” They can accommodate a comparatively small number of guests like on Friday under umbrellas.

"It gets dramatic when it suddenly starts to rain and the whole beer garden is full."

Despite all the imponderables, she decided to open the “Walgerfranz”, “because our guests are already waiting for it.

You wouldn't understand if we didn't open up.

That's why we muddle through. ”There is no getting around the opening of the indoor catering, especially since, in her opinion, the problem with aerosols can be dealt with with ventilation devices.

What evidence must be provided and how is it checked?

Due to the many imponderables, managing director Karlheinz Leimer decided not to open the outdoor area of the Tölzer “Kolberbräu” for the time being: “It doesn't do any good if we have to throw away all the valuable food in bad weather. And I would also have eaten up employees. ”In addition, there are numerous bureaucratic hurdles that have to be overcome before the opening. If you want to eat with two households at one table, a negative corona test, a vaccination or a survived corona disease are necessary. All of this evidence must be checked by his employees. Leimer does not yet know what, for example, correct evidence that someone has recovered from Corona looks like. "We have to feel our way around first, but there will certainly be a solution." Provided the weather is right, he wants to start from the 21st.May unlock the outside area. The reason: From this day on, hotel guests can also be entertained in the interior.

The only restaurateur who was already selling food on Marktstrasse on Friday - apart from the ice cream parlors - was Klaus Janßen from the "Schwaighofer" wine shop.

He explained: "Because we only sell snacks, we don't have the same problems as the economies that have to boil up." The company is also easy to manage in terms of personnel.

Many place their hopes in the start of the hotel business

Ursula Werner, owner of the Lenggrieser "Altwirt" also dared a test run on Friday.

"We said at short notice: do it." Since your restaurant already offers take-away meals, it is relatively easy to switch to outdoor catering.

However, this requires a great deal of flexibility - in terms of kitchen planning as well as staff.

She believes: "When the hotel starts operating next week, it will be easier for us."

If the weather is nice, the beer garden at Reutberg Monastery in Sachsenkam will be open from next Monday: “It's more of an image matter,” says owner Georg Lichtenegger.

“I don't think it's worth it - especially with the mixed weather.” He recommends checking the homepage to find out whether the beer garden is actually open at the desired time.

I'm so positive that I sometimes wonder about myself.

Juliane Weigl from the Benediktbeurer Klosterbräustüberl

Even Juliane Weigl from Benediktbeurer Klosterbräustüberl does not believe that she will be earning any significant money in the near future.

Nonetheless, she looked downright euphoric on Friday: “Every guest has a smile on their face.

People are just happy that it will continue after six months - and so are we. ”Even sudden rain does not cause them any distress.

At the moment about 60 of the 600 seats are occupied, she said on Friday, "and we can put this number under the umbrellas if necessary."

Of course, it would be nice to be able to entertain guests indoors again: “I could complain now, but that doesn't help.

If it doesn't work at the moment, then we just have to cope with it. "And laughing, she adds:" I'm so positive that I sometimes wonder about myself. "

Tölzer Land Tourism Director Andreas Wüstefeld recently warned that there must be prospects for the hotel industry: No tourism in Tölzer Land: "Professional ban on an entire industry"
