The editor-in-chief of the Russky Vistnik newspaper, a member of the Russian Writers Union, Boris Zemtsov, affirmed that holding the presidential elections in Syria is the right of the Syrians only, and no one can impose their will on them in this regard.
In an interview with SANA's correspondent in Moscow today, Zemtsov expressed his confidence that the upcoming elections will take place successfully in light of the transparency, integrity and pluralism witnessed by Syria, which has withstood international terrorism, overcame all other challenges and achieved victories.
Zemtsov condemned the role of the Turkish regime, which is trying to repeat the Ottoman colonial policy in dominating the countries of the region without realizing the futility and failure of this policy.
Zemtsov also expressed his condemnation of the Israeli occupation and its colonial expansionist goals through its attacks on the Syrian and Palestinian peoples and the peoples of the region.
