The director of the private vocational school Les Sinoplies, in Roissy-en-Brie (Seine-et-Marne), is delighted to have since learned of the vote by the Ile-de-France region, on April 1, of a grant of support of 40,000 euros for its institution in financial difficulty.
Threatened with cessation of payments, unless they find 55,000 euros before April 15, the hotel school Les Sinoplies had called for donations to enable it to cope.
The private establishment usually receives nearly 80 students each year, the majority of whom are trained in the CAP cuisine.
But it accuses a serious drop in its enrollment this school year for lack of being able to organize its Open Days neither last year nor this year.
And you have to do without the daily recipes of the application restaurant with 30 seats, closed since March 2020.
Despite the grant, money is still lacking
An online jackpot raised more than 8,000 euros.
“We still continue to try to find other help, because we still lack 10,000 to 15,000 euros.
But at least we are not closing, ”adds the director, who appreciates the mobilization for her establishment.
“Everyone got into it,” she says.
Parents of students have sent letters to communities, they have turned to their businesses to collect their apprenticeship tax.
