Citizens from Mammendorf have asked the state parliament member Hans Friedl (FW) from Alling for help in the dispute over the shooting range in Hattenhofen.

Hattenhofen / Mammendorf - Friedl listened to the shots coming from the “Jagdparcour Oberbayern” on the terrace of a family - and was surprised by the volume.

As a last resort, he recommended a petition to the state parliament - if no other agreement can be reached.

In the meantime, the district office had informed the operator that a maximum of 2200 rounds per day are permitted on the system. Regardless of this, the Selmayr and Ungerer families from Mammendorf, affected by the noise, turned to Friedl with a request for support. According to the MP reports from the meeting, those affected are not concerned with completely stopping shooting: “They just want to prevent the shooting from degenerating.” The operator should adhere to the limit values. An increase in the number of shots under discussion to 8800 or more per day and to include shooting on Sundays is rejected by the residents.

“We have no problem with people pursuing their hobby and that hunters also have to carry out regular training,” said Otto Selmayr.

"But the previous applicable and agreed regulations of immission control law must continue to be complied with."

Friedl was surprised at the volume of the shooting.

Although it was raining that day and he was with the families at lunchtime, a bang was clearly audible at intervals of about ten to 20 seconds.

Friedl therefore suggested switching to new technology, for example shooting with laser beams.

In addition, measures should be laid down how the daily number of shots can be counted and controlled.

If there is no agreement with the operator, Friedl recommends submitting a petition to the state parliament. Here he promised support. If necessary, the Free State could intervene to resolve the problem.
