Six people were killed and 218 others were injured today as a typhoon hit the Chinese city of Wuhan, the capital of Hubei Province, central China.
And Xinhua reported that the typhoon, which was accompanied by winds of 23.9 meters per second, swept through the district of Tsaidyan in, bringing down some construction sites and destroying a large number of trees.
According to a preliminary investigation by the local authorities today, the hurricane led to the collapse of 27 homes and damaged 130 houses and barns of construction sites on an area of 8,000 square meters, in addition to the fall of two tower cranes.
