Now things are getting concrete with the modernization and expansion of the sports facilities in Aschheim and Dornach.
The municipal council decided unanimously to change the development plan for Sportpark Aschheim and to re-establish a development plan for “Sportpark Dornach”.

- For several years now, the municipal council has had the renovation of the sports restaurant in the Aschheimer Sportpark on its radar, but the measure was never a top priority.
The opening of the process to change the development plan is now the starting shot.
Disagreement about planning freedom
Mayor Thomas Glashauser (CSU) indicated that they had a planner on hand for the task who had already designed various district sports facilities in Munich.
In the local council there were only discussions about the procedure and the process.
The Free Voters would like to give the planner specifications, while the CSU and SPD would rather give the planner a free hand.
"A good planner can come up with charming suggestions that we wouldn't even come up with," said Ingrid Lenz-Aktas (SPD).
Günter Sassmann (FW) argued that the needs of the clubs located in the sports park should be queried at an early stage and given to the planner on the way.
Mayor Glashauser replied that it was not yet about the specific building application for a building, but the arrangement of the areas in the development plan.
New construction of the sports restaurant
The first goal is a defined building site for the sports restaurant.
The town hall chief also made it clear that the chairmen of the associations will of course also participate in the process.
After the municipality was recently able to acquire an important piece of land, the process is now starting, at the end of which the sports restaurant will be rebuilt.
The change to the development plan was decided unanimously and plan ideas are first discussed in the municipal council before further procedural steps.
Land secured for the expansion of the Dornach Sports Park
At the same time, however, the municipality is also starting the expansion of the Dornach Sports Park, after the required land is also owned by the municipality. According to Mayor Glashauser, the municipality of Aschheim was able to secure the required area in a long lease. When the sports park is expanded, the district office's requirement must be met to create an additional driveway to the site. The architect who will deal with the Aschheim sports park is also to take over the development plan for the Dornach sports park.
