The weather in Hong Kong today is forecast to be generally fine with some showers in some areas in the morning, with moderate southerly winds.

The highest temperature during the day is about 34 degrees, and the highest temperature in Sheung Shui, New Territories and Cheung Chau, outlying islands is 36 degrees.

The hot weather warning is now in effect. The public should take precautions against heatstroke and add more water.

Looking ahead, tomorrow will be generally fine and very hot. There will be a few showers in the next day or two, and there will be sunny periods.

The automatic regional weather forecast shows that the highest temperature in Cheung Chau and Sheung Shui may reach 36 degrees.

The high-altitude anticyclone will bring generally sunny and hot weather to the southeast coast of China during the weekend.

A trough of low pressure is expected to affect southern China early next week and bring showers and thunderstorms to the area.
