The Israeli army attacked a high-rise building in Gaza City on Saturday.
Several missiles hit the Al-Jalaa tower.
The building then collapsed.
The 13-story skyscraper housed offices for international media companies, including the Associated Press news agency and the Arab television channel Al Jazeera.
The airstrike was announced to the owner in advance and the building was evacuated in good time.
Journalists had previously asked permission to get their equipment out of the building.
According to an Associated Press journalist, all employees are safe but are in shock.
Al Jazeera televised the attack and the collapse of its own office live.
Israel's army said it attacked the building because the Islamist Hamas had "military resources" there.
The terrorist organization is hiding behind the civilian media and abusing them as human shields.
Hamas repeatedly fires rockets from densely populated residential areas at Israel. Tel Aviv was again under massive attack today. A few hours before the air strike on the skyscraper, the Israeli air force attacked a refugee camp in Gaza. At least ten members of an extended family, including several children, were killed.
