A 12-year-old Arab boy was seriously injured on the night between Friday and Saturday after a Molotov cocktail was thrown at his family home by unknown individuals in Jaffa.

The incident took place in the Ajami neighborhood of the city and first the child was taken to Sheba Tel Hashomer Hospital in fair condition.

Later, the hospital updated that his condition was serious, that he was anesthetized and respirated and suffering from burns on his face.

Assault suspects fled the scene, and police began scanning and clarifying the circumstances of the incident.

The suspects were documented fleeing security cameras.



Sabri Gintzi, the father of 12-year-old Muhammad, who was seriously injured by a Molotov cocktail in Jaffa, described what happened last night at their home.

He said they were sitting with the children, "a Molotov cocktail was thrown at us, the boy somehow got up. The whole fire was on the boy, I picked up the boy and put him in the bath, I put water on him and put him out."

Gintzi said ambulances arrived, and Muhammad was taken to Sheba Hospital suffering from burn injuries.

The father criticized the conduct of the police at the scene.

"The police were and are leaving. They did not even ask me what happened and how it happened. Nothing," he said, adding that "Where are the Israeli police? We have Israeli certificates and live with you and everything and everything is fine. I never hurt a person."
