Bergkirchen - Time and again there have been delays with regard to the demolition of the Maisachhalle.

In April 2019, architect Michael Hampf had explained the need to demolish the sports hall and presented the new building plans at a meeting at TSV Bergkirchen, while the TSV board explained the plans and wishes, including the budget.

The building owner is the sports club, which receives significant financial support for the building project from the municipality of Bergkirchen. At that time, a construction cost of a good two million was assumed. The municipality made funds available in the 2021 budget. "The cramped location," explained Hampf, offered little opportunity to expand the hall, and the minimum requirements with regard to funding options had to be taken into account.

Preserving the old hall was "almost impossible" for energetic reasons and because of the statics problems, because there are no documents from the building erected in 1972.

The "tough land negotiations" had the effect of delaying the situation.

Because of the necessary new road layout, land had to be purchased.

As a result, there is more space to the south.

It is also important to make the existing theater operations of the sports stage "eligible for funding".

One of the things that led to delays was the fact that the approval of the development plan by the Dachau district office was a long time coming, so that the board of directors could not present the subsidy to the BLSV.

Every delay meant an increase in costs, it was said in 2019.

"We will not leave you out in the rain," assured Mayor Simon Landmann shortly before the end of his term of office and therefore already included Robert Axtner in the negotiations as third mayor and presumable successor. Next year, TSV members will be able to resume their sports activities in the new hall, which will be wider, higher and longer. There was talk of a year of construction.
