Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed today that the attempt to blame Russia for the 2014 eastern Czech ammunition depot bombings in the eastern Czech Verbetes region "expresses the state of total confusion in Prague."
Sputnik quoted Zakharova as saying, “The Russian Foreign Ministry has drawn its attention to the mysterious disappearance of a large number of weapons from the notorious warehouses in the village of Vrbtis immediately after the 2014 bombings. We have the impression that the Czech authorities are not only unable to conduct an objective investigation, but also cannot build a logical chain of what is happening on their territory. ”
Zakharova noted that "in this whole story there is one clear fact that in total confusion in Prague they found nothing better than trying to blame the external enemy, Russia."
In a related context, a member of the International Affairs Committee of the State Duma, Yelena Banina, said today that the inclusion of the United States and the Czech Republic on the list of foreign countries that are not friendly to Russia was not only because of their common anti-Russia position, but also because of the usual measures they had taken against Moscow.
