New corona rules have been in effect throughout the Free State since Monday.

Far-reaching loosening is also possible.

An overview.

Munich

- After the planned two-week lockdown light last November became a month-long compulsory break for entire professional groups, measures against the corona virus * are now being eased in the Free State.

After Prime Minister Markus Söder (CSU) announced new easing at a press conference * last week, these will come into force in some places from Monday (May 10).

Above all, the incidence value below 100 is decisive.

Corona easing in Bavaria: outdoor catering allowed from Monday - subject to conditions

In counties and urban districts with a stable seven-day incidence * below 100, outdoor dining is now allowed to reopen, especially the beer gardens.

But only until 10 p.m., after that it's over.

Health Minister Klaus Holetschek (CSU) stated that stable means that the seven-day incidence must be stable below 100 for at least five days.

In addition, there should be no more upward swings during this period.

An overview of the cities and districts in which outdoor catering is already possible can be found here.

Corona in Bavaria: Going to the cinema and theater is now possible again

However, if the incidence is still over 50, a gastro visit is only possible by appointment.

In addition, the test is compulsory, i.e. visitors must present a negative corona rapid test (maximum 24 hours old) or a negative PCR test (maximum 48 hours old).

These measures are omitted if the incidence falls stably below the value of 50.

Under the same conditions and requirements, theaters, concert and opera houses and cinemas are also allowed to open from Monday - if the corona numbers in the respective region are stable.

Recreational athletes can also look forward to it: In regions with stable corona numbers below 100, non-contact sports indoors and outdoor contact sports are again permitted from Monday - also combined with a mandatory test * for all participants, which is no longer applicable if the incidence is below 50 .

If the seven-day incidence is below 100, outdoor swimming pools should also be allowed to open again from Friday, May 21 - with tests and appointment slots.

Likewise, in rural districts and urban districts with an incidence of less than 100, outdoor cultural events are to be permitted from May 21, with up to 250 people, with fixed seating, with tests and hygiene concepts.

Corona measures at Bavarian schools: the Friday value is no longer decisive

In secondary schools, the previous, stricter limit of 100 for distance teaching will remain until the Whitsun holidays. Primary schools, however, are allowed to offer alternating lessons in all classes from Monday up to a seven-day incidence of 165. The decisive factor is no longer the incidence from the Friday of the previous week but, as with the other rules, the exceeding of a certain threshold value for a period of at least five days.

If the incidence is above or below 165 for the first time on Monday, a decision can be made on how to proceed from the following Saturday.

The same applies to grades 5 and 6 at special needs schools.

Exceptions also apply to final grades and fourth graders, who have alternate lessons even with higher numbers.

In regions with a seven-day incidence below 165, dog schools can also reopen from Monday.

If the incidence is stable below 100, the body-hugging services that were previously closed - for example manicure - can start again.

The same conditions apply here as apply to hairdressers and podiatrists, e.g. wearing an FFP2 mask *

There is already a timetable for the time after the Whitsun holidays: the indoor catering and fitness studios could then get a perspective.

So far, Söder has not given exact details.

Corona easing in Bavaria: Vaccinated and convalescents are further exempted from compulsory testing

Also important: as of Thursday (May 6), fully vaccinated people 14 days after their second vaccination and those who have recovered completely from a corona infection who can prove their infection are exempt from the obligation to test in all facilities.

Until a digital proof is introduced, proof of fully vaccinated persons * by means of a yellow paper vaccination pass is sufficient.
