The British government announced that it will take a decision in mid-June on whether to move to the final stage of easing the closure measures imposed with the aim of limiting the spread of the Corona virus.

British Health Minister Matt Hancock, according to Reuters, expressed his doubts about the possibility of taking this step to ease restrictions on the 21st of next June, as originally planned, in light of the monitoring of 1.3 thousand cases of the Indian strain of Corona virus in Britain so far.

Hancock added that the outbreak of this strain increases the capabilities of infection in what he described as the "contest" between it and the ongoing vaccination campaign in the country, expressing at the same time his conviction that the vaccine will eventually allow the virus to be defeated.

More than 36 million people have received the first dose of the Coronavirus vaccine since the vaccination campaign was launched at the beginning of last December, while 20 million received the second dose.

Last Thursday, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson expressed his country's concern over the transmission of the mutated Indian version of the Corona virus to it.
