There was a loud bang, and shortly afterwards a Freisinger's car was on fire.
And that in the middle of the highway.
Dangerous for the driver!
District
- A Freisinger (27) was on the A 94 in the direction of Munich on Friday when he heard a loud bang shortly before Lengdorf. Then smoke oozed from the engine compartment - and the car suddenly caught fire, according to the police. The driver could just switch to the hard shoulder and escape into the open. The fire brigades from Dorfen and Lengdorf extinguished the car that was on fire. Because of the extinguishing work and the heavy smoke development, the lane in the direction of Munich had to be closed for about a quarter of an hour. In the direction of Passau there were also obstructions, reports the motorway police. The car could no longer be saved. According to the police, there was a total loss of 30,000 euros.
