The Islamic State (IS) group claimed responsibility for the bombing that killed at least 12 people on Friday (May 14) in a mosque on the outskirts of Kabul, said the US agency SITE, which specializes in monitoring activity in line of jihadist groups.

The tragedy occurred during the prayers, causing in particular the death of the imam and leaving 15 wounded, on the second day of the provisional ceasefire announced by the Taliban and the Afghan government, which at the same time held a meeting in with a view to relaunching the peace negotiations.
IS claimed that a bomb was placed in the mosque and set off after worshipers entered the building, SITE reported on Saturday evening.
The attack took place on the second day of a 72-hour ceasefire between insurgents and government forces for Eid-al-Fitr, the Muslim holiday that marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. .
The truce ended on Saturday evening and no clashes between the Taliban and government forces had been reported since.
The truce was announced after a resurgence of violence since May 1, when the Americans began to officially withdraw their last troops still present in the country.
On May 8, more than 50 people were killed and a hundred others injured in a Shiite district of the capital by the explosion of bombs placed in front of a girls' school.
It was the deadliest attack in a year.
The authorities had accused the Taliban but they denied having been the perpetrators.
