The Parisian theater wakes up with Le Viol de Lucrèce, a chamber opera composed in 1946, a masterpiece of emotion and humanity.

Enabling the young generation of lyrical art to grapple with the work of the stage is one of the laudable challenges of the Académie de l'Opéra national de Paris.

The young singers and musicians of the 2020-2021 class continued to work during the pandemic.

After a performance for professionals, they will be able to present to the public, from May 19 at the Bouffes du Nord, a first-rate show.

It is true that, between the beauty of the work and the genius of the place, the planets are well aligned.

The first “chamber” opera by Benjamin Britten, composed after the Second World War for the immense Kathleen Ferrier,

Le Viol de Lucrèce

is a masterpiece of emotion and humanity, which once again questions the springs of desire and purity.

As for Les Bouffes, the close relationship established there between the audience and the performers makes it possible to physically feel the tension of the drama and the intensity of the beings.
