Visiting the Val-d'Oise on May 7, to unveil a major plan for the department including the installation of the North Market of National Interest (MIN) or the construction of a prison, Prime Minister Jean Castex announced the completion of several projects related to public transport.

Starting of course with the confirmation of the station of line 17 of the Grand Paris metro on the Triangle de Gonesse, welcomed in particular by Marie-Christine Cavecchi.

“The Triangle de Gonesse station and line 17, these are all opportunities for Val-d'Oisiens to move freely and easily in the region, access to employment areas, training establishments and cultural facilities and athletes from all over Ile-de-France, breathes the president (LR) of the departmental council.

They are also strong markers for future investors in the east of the department and in the Grand Roissy.

The Val-d'Oise is thus finally linked to the Grand Paris Express network.

But not only through the creation of this station, located in an area that is not yet urbanized.

Joining the new ultra-fast automatic metro lines will also be possible thanks to the interconnection of line H, used by 230,000 users every day, at the future Saint-Denis Pleyel station (Seine-Saint-Denis).

An investment of 250 million euros

Jean Castex is committed to implementing this long cherished project.

"The center of Val-d'Oise - Cergy-Pontoise and the Vallée de l'Oise - was until then completely isolated from the Grand Paris Express, the interconnection is a means of repairing that", underlines the deputy (LREM) Guillaume Vuilletet.

The elected representative of the 2nd district has mobilized since his election for this project, and he is not the only one.

The elected officials of the departmental council have been fighting since 2012 for the project to see the light of day. The community has also participated in the financing of the feasibility studies launched last year, which should be completed at the end of the year. Why did the Val-d'Oise have such a hard time winning this case? No doubt because the investment is colossal: it is estimated at more than 250 million euros.

"This is explained by the fact that technically, it is very complicated because we are in a bottleneck of the tracks", indicates Guillaume Vuilletet. Connected to Stade-de-France station by a giant bridge, Saint-Denis Pleyel will accommodate 250,000 users per day and will be located on future lines 14, 15, 16 and 17 of the Grand Paris Express. For example, it will allow you to go in 13 minutes to La Défense and Roissy-Charles-de-Gaulle airport. The site could begin in 2026, for commissioning in 2030.

Local elected officials can also welcome the development of the Fosses-Survilliers station on the Roissy-Picardie bar.

Even if the public inquiry, which ended last month, had made it possible to highlight the dissatisfaction of elected officials of the departmental council, many mayors but also residents.

They were worried about having to accommodate the Roissy-Picardie line and its nuisances, without the territory deriving any advantages.

The promise of Jean Castex repairs this injustice.

An underground instead of the level crossing

And what about the wait for the removal of the level crossing at Deuil-Montmagny station, often considered the most dangerous in France?

This is crossed every day by 7,000 vehicles, two bus lines and many pedestrians, especially students from the nearby high school.

A significant risk despite the many measures implemented in recent years, such as an anti-crossing radar.

The abolition project estimated at 13.3 million euros and supported for many years by the mayors of the two cities will be funded.

In particular, it provides for the creation of an underground for pedestrians and bicycles, at the location of the current level crossing, and the creation of an underground for vehicles, further south.

Without forgetting the creation of new streets to make road traffic more fluid.

“When I arrived, there had already been a very good job of the mayors of the two cities, the prefect and the SNCF, breathes David Corceiro, deputy (MoDem) of the constituency.

But a million euros of VAT was missing.

For 25 years, there have been multitudes of twists and turns.

Today, it is anchored and financed, and it is a real step forward for the Val-d'Oise.

Finally, the Prime Minister announced the commissioning of three high-level bus lines connecting Goussainville to the exhibition center, Villiers-le-Bel to the Roissy hub, and Garges-Sarcelles to the same hub.

Projects that will materialize within five to ten years

"I am aware that these major structuring projects for the territory will see the light of day within 5 to 10 years," blows Marie-Christine Cavecchi.

Our struggles of yesterday and today will become the jobs and opportunities for the families of tomorrow and future generations, in our youngest department in France.

These projects were also praised by users.

"For the level crossing, it was compulsory for a safety issue", praises Jean-Pierre Gressier, president of the Lutece association which works for users of the H line. "For Pleyel, it is the one of the rare points that allows us to be connected to Greater Paris.

But it remains to be seen the path of pedestrians on site and the organization of work.

Much of the traffic will also be suppressed for several months.
