The death toll from the Corona epidemic in Argentina has crossed the threshold of 70,000 since the start of its outbreak in the country, while the rate of injuries has exceeded 20 thousand new infections per day.
The Argentine Ministry of Health said that the virus had claimed 400 lives in the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of deaths to 70,253 cases, and 21,469 new infections were recorded, bringing the total number of infections to 3,290,935 in this country with a total population of 45 million people.
According to official data, 5,517 people are currently in intensive care units in the country's hospitals.
Last week, Argentina recorded infections for the first time with the two mutated Indian and South African versions of the Corona virus, while travelers came from France and Spain.
The Argentine border remains closed to everyone except for citizens and foreigners holding permanent residence permits.
