The health authorities in Russia recorded 8,554 new cases of coronavirus during the past 24 hours, distributed over 84 regions, including 2,789 in the capital, Moscow.
The Russian Epidemic Control Center reported that 391 new deaths were also recorded, while 8,573 people were cured.
The total number of HIV infections in Russia reached 4940245, of whom 115,871 died, while 4556037 recovered.
