The last presidential decree expires this Friday. And the superpowers law would only have half a sanction a day before in the Senate.

With no time to approve the bill in Congress to manage the pandemic by law, President

Alberto Fernández

has defined to extend the DNU with the current restrictions that expires on Friday.

Classes would continue to be suspended in the areas under epidemiological alert.

This was confirmed by some of the President's main collaborators.

The City will wait until Thursday to define whether it will maintain its presence as it has been up to now.

In some offices of the Buenos Aires government they study some type of return to the classrooms, although those protocols could be left for later.

In the Casa Rosada they know that there is no time or way to agree with the opposition and with the ruling party changes in the bill that the Government sent to the Legislature on Monday.

It remains to know if the extension will be for 14 or 21 days.

Close to the head of state, they discard a model similar to that of the Fiscal Consensus in which each province had to adhere to the law for it to come into effect in the districts.

"Health laws are federal and must be applied throughout the national territory," they

affirmed in the most important offices of Balcarce 50.

The governors promoted this tool to avoid the objections to the constitutionality of the project that the Legal and Technical Secretary

, Vilma Ibarra,

and the Minister

Carla Vizzott

i

defended in the Senate

.

The Upper House could give this Thursday a half sanction -with changes- to the original text of the Government.

Together for Change has already made it known that it will not accompany the Executive's project which they brand as

"superpowers

."

In the Executive they complain that the main opposition force thinks with the television sockets and without reading the project.

They argue that the DNUs through which the restrictive measures were ordered from March until now are - on paper - "less republican" than the tool of a law.

They insist on comparing the official text with

"the solution to Angela Merkel",

alluding to the law promoted by the German Chancellor in her country.

With the numbers of infections and deaths registered in recent weeks, it is a fact that classrooms will continue to be closed in the Conurbano.

According to the epidemiological traffic light established in the DNU that the President signed on April

29

, there should not be classes in the City either.

After the Court ruling that agreed with the City - in its claim for the previous restrictions - it is impossible for

Horacio Rodríguez Larreta to

lay down the flag of presence.

If they ever make that determination, they clarify at the Head of Government, they will also close all commercial activities.

At the small table of the head of the Buenos Aires government, they will take until Thursday to evaluate the possibility of new restrictions.

"You have to see these days if it continues to decline or remains at 2000 daily average," they explain in the Buenos Aires Ministry of Health.

Close to the Buenos Aires Executive, they add that they will observe the trend of the epidemiological parameters.

"Cases are on the decline, but we would like it to be a drop a little more pronounced than it is being," they highlight.

There are still no meetings on the agenda between

Santiago Cafiero

and his peers from the Province and the City.

Cafiero administers reports that show that the decrease in infections in the Buenos Aires suburbs - with the classrooms closed - was close to 30 percent against 7 percent in the City.

The noise between the Capital and the Nation will grow around the discussion about co-participation, which will once again have a new chapter of meetings this week, on Tuesday, at the request of the highest Court.

Yes,

Felipe Miguel and Carlos Bianco

, the delegates of Rodríguez Larreta and Axel Kicillof, did

speak in private

.

Both sides of General Paz registered a less pronounced drop in infections in the last 4 days than in previous weeks.

The current floor of the contagion curve is worrisome due to an unexpected outbreak.

In the Ministry of Education they emphasize that the return or partial suspension of face-to-face classes now depends on the latest resolution of the Federal Council of Education, which was followed by all the provinces, with the exception of the City and Mendoza.

For Rodríguez Larreta, the Court's ruling was overwhelming.

In the last week, San Luis and La Pampa had to suspend classes in some localities.

With the current numbers, the Province could not return to the presence.

"There's still a week left," they open the door at the Pizzurno Palace.

The political cost of the closed classrooms is felt in the ruling party, even more so in the prelude to the decisive midterm elections that the Government thinks as a plebiscite of the management.

With that antecedent, the Executive gave the green light to the

request of the Santa Fe governor

Omar Perotti,

who requested the return to classes in Rosario and San Lorenzo, which had been interrupted after the last DNU.

The provincial president, an ally of the Executive - this Saturday he was with Santiago Cafiero and with the ambassador to Brazil Daniel Scioli - alleged health reasons instead of the political ones raised by Rodríguez Larreta.
