Algeria strongly condemned the continuous Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people, reaffirming its steadfast principled position towards the just Palestinian cause.
The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabri Boukadoum, said in a speech today that "the blatant criminal attacks on the Palestinians in Jerusalem, the West Bank and the Occupied Territories openly violate all international laws and norms, human rights charters and international humanitarian law, as well as put the credibility of the multilateral international system to the test again." The cover that some parties provide to the occupation encourages it to continue committing the most heinous crimes and its racist policies.
He called on the international community, especially the Security Council, to be aware of its historical, legal and moral responsibilities in protecting the Palestinian people, and to work immediately to put an end to the machine of killing and destruction and to confront the brutal attacks on the lives and property of Palestinians and to ensure respect for the rules of international law, reaffirming that the Palestinian issue was and remains the central issue of the Arab nation. And Islamic.
Boukadoum pointed out that the priorities of the current stage require an end to the brutal aggression and the speedy care of the catastrophic humanitarian crisis that left it, saying that “the occupation of the Palestinian territories and the attempts to perpetuate the logic of force and the de facto policy at the expense of the Palestinian people are the main reasons behind their suffering.”
The Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for the international community to take a "firm and courageous" position to relaunch the settlement process in a way that would enable ending the occupation and realizing the rights of the Palestinian people, especially their right to self-determination and the establishment of their independent state with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital.
