An earthquake measuring 4.5 degrees on the Richter scale struck Bushehr Province, southern Iran, without any immediate news of casualties or damages.
Fars News Agency quoted the seismological center at the Geophysics Institution affiliated to Tehran University as saying in a statement that "the quake occurred in an area near the Kangan port in Bushehr province, and its epicenter was at a depth of 20 kilometers from the surface of the earth."
The potential losses from the tremor have not yet been reported.
On the ninth of this month, an earthquake measuring 4 degrees on the Richter scale hit the city of Gnaoua, located in the borders of Bushehr and Fars provinces in southwestern Iran.
