South Korean Kyung-hoon Lee (-25) won the AT&T Byron Nelson Championship on Sunday, played in McKinney (Texas) and counting for the PGA Tour, three strokes ahead of American Sam Burns (-22 ), leader Friday and Saturday.
Burns, winner of the Valspar Championship two weeks ago in Florida, had to bow to the last card of 66 returned by the Asian player, when he had to settle for a final round in 70 himself, synonymous with second place.
Interruption
The winner had to be patient before winning as the storm began to rumble two holes before the end of his game, forcing the organizers to stop play and beat the recall of the players at the clubhouse.
The interruption lasted nearly 2:45.
This is the first title on the PGA Tour for Lee (29), ranked 137th player in the world before the tournament and who has never entered the global Top 100.
His best victory too, he who made his classes on the Asian Tour and the Japan Tour before joining Web.Com in the United States.

The South Korean completed four high-end laps (65-65-67-66) on the fairways of TPC Craig Ranch north of Dallas, to finish at -25 overall, four strokes ahead of a compound fourteenth. Americans Patton Kizzire, Daniel Berger and Scott Stallings, as well as South African Charl Schwartzel (-21).
American Jordan Spieth finished seven strokes behind the winner.
