For years the fraudulent business went well.

The investors paid in in the hope that their money would increase, the boss (55) of various company mergers pocketed the thousands, passed them on in the snowball system, but also paid a nice sum for himself.

Fürstenfeldbruck / Munich - Until one of the customers filed a complaint with the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).

Then the Füstenfeldbrucker was caught.

In the process before the Regional Court of Munich II, he made a comprehensive confession through his defense lawyer Uwe Lehmbruck.

In return, a less criminal charge of the prosecution was dropped.

What remained was damage amounting to just under 885,000 euros, which the Brucker had caused by preventing repayments.

Transfer to yourself

The amount that the 55-year-old had transferred to himself from the investment amount was similarly high, at 814,423 euros. The reason for this remained unclear at the start of the process. The 55-year-old spoke about his health, his rare form of high blood pressure. This illness really broke out when he was arrested and held in custody for 20 days. That was eight years ago, but it will take some time for the fraud to be uncovered and fully investigated. Then the case stayed, followed by Corona.

Negotiations finally took place last week.

The presiding judge Thomas Bott introduced a large part of the procedural documents in the self-reading process.

The court, public prosecutor and defense attorney had previously met to talk.

A procedural economic deal was agreed, stating that if the accused were to confess, they would receive a suspended sentence of between 21 and 24 months and a fine of between 270 and 430 daily rates.

Personal bankruptcy

The daily rate will depend on the economic situation of the accused.

It is not rosy at the moment.

He pays 75 euros a month to repay his private bankruptcy.

From his monthly salary of around 1100 euros, which he receives for digital bookkeeping, 500 euros go to private health insurance.

He doesn't have to pay any rent.

The house he lives in belongs to his wife.

The defendant did not want to say how he, as a trained tax clerk assistant, got on the criminal track.

Presumably at some point the sums of money had become so huge that he saw no big problem in withdrawing something for himself.

In fact, the prosecution assumes a risk damage of around 6.6 million euros.

The process is ongoing.
