At 3 o'clock in the afternoon today (17th), a woman on platform 2 of East Rail Sheung Shui Station heading towards Hung Hom fell onto the track and was trapped under the car. The police and firefighters arrived at the scene for rescue. The car was sent to the North District Hospital for rescue.
According to the MTR, there are people entering the track at the water station on the East Rail Line, and the train service is blocked. The train service from Fanling to Sheung Shui has been suspended. Passengers are requested to allow sufficient time for the journey and consider taking other modes of transportation.
East Rail Line train service adjustments are as follows:
Hung Hom to and from Tai Po, about 7 minutes a bus;
Hung Hom goes back and forth to Fanling, every 14 minutes;
The MTR is arranging a free shuttle bus to travel back and forth from Fanling to Sheung Shui.
