The director of the American National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, Anthony Fauci, announced that the Corona pandemic has highlighted manifestations of racism in the United States.

"The effects of racism have led to unacceptable health inequalities that affected African Americans, Hispanic Americans and Native Americans during the pandemic," Fauci said via email from Washington, adding, "Covid 19 has shed a bright light on the failures of our society."

He explained that many members of minorities work in jobs through which they may be exposed to the Corona virus, and they become more susceptible to infection if they are exposed to high blood pressure, chronic lung disease, diabetes, obesity, or others, and that very few of these diseases have racial determinants, but almost all of them are related to the determinants. Social health related to the unfavorable conditions in which some people of color find themselves from birth in relation to the availability of an adequate diet, access to health care and the undeniable effects of racism in American society.

The United States is the first country in the world in terms of the number of recorded infections with the Coronavirus, with more than 33 million cases, and the first in terms of the number of deaths, with about 586,000 people.
