Two weeks before Roland-Garros, Rafael Nadal won the tournament in Rome by winning the final against Novak Djokovic (5-7, 6-1, 6-3) in 2:49.
This is the Mallorcan's fourth victory over the Serbian in six encounters in the final of the Roman tournament.
After his elimination in the quarterfinals during the two previous Masters 1000 on ocher (Monte-Carlo, Madrid), Nadal won in Rome for the tenth time in eleven finals and won his 36th Masters 1000 victory, as much as Djokovic.
The record between the two players is now 29 to 28 in favor of the Serbian.
Last September, Djokovic was rolled in the Roland-Garros final by Nadal (6-0, 6-2, 7-5), for his 13th Porte d'Auteuil coronation.
