The Daraa Fire Brigade today extinguished six fires that broke out in crops, agricultural crops, trees, dry grass and a residential house.
The commander of the Daraa Fire Brigade, Colonel Muhammad Mahamid, said in a statement to SANA's correspondent that the firefighting cadres put out a fire with crops, agricultural crops and herbs at the Nassib border post, indicating that the area of crops is limited and was controlled before expanding its area.
He added: The fires affected a residential house in the Al-Sabeel neighborhood in the city of Daraa, and dry weeds in the town of Tseel in the western countryside, the panorama area of the city of Daraa and in the town of Sidon in the eastern countryside, in addition to herbs and trees in the city of Busra al-Sham.
Mahameed confirmed that the firefighters are making great efforts in controlling fires before they expand to agricultural crops.
Yesterday, Saturday, the regiment extinguished three wild grass fires, which broke out in the panorama and Al-Yawda and Al-Naima roads.
