Ashkelon is one of the cities hard hit by Hamas rocket fire at Israeli territory.

Beer Sheva and Ashdod were also directly hit, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu referring to the continuation of Operation Wall Guard and saying that "it will still take time."

Today (Sunday) a synagogue in Ashkelon was hit, in addition to a vehicle that was directly damaged.

On the synagogue island the situation is already well known, but the situation is not allowed to frighten them for a moment.

"This is the picture of our victory over Hamas," say worshipers of the Yad Michael synagogue, which was hit directly by a rocket.

Most of the synagogue worshipers live in the neighborhood next to it, after leaving the sheltered rooms they already realized that the rocket fell close to them, in the synagogue where they have been praying for many years.

Almost all the worshipers of the synagogue came to clean, they cleaned the ark and the shrine, at record speed so that they could pray in the evening, and only the big hole that opened in the wall mentions what happened two hours earlier.

Indeed, not all the worshipers returned, but dressed in white, they went down to the lower floor, which is much more protected for praying. Michael despite the rocket.

"This is a synagogue named after the late Rabbi Yosef Sharvit. We come with all our might to strengthen the worshipers and the people of Israel. We want to transmit power and the soldiers."

While the worshipers are suddenly interviewed by alarms in the synagogue, the worshipers take the communication teams to the lower floor - "Safe here".

They do not intend to return home, "We will stay to pray."

Menashe Yechezkel One of the worshipers managed to explain to the media the importance of returning to the synagogue a few seconds before the alarms.

"We are not afraid despite what was in the synagogue. We believe we will not succumb to terrorism and Hamas. If there is an alarm here again, we will enter the protected rooms," he says, describing the moment the rocket fell.

We heard the explosion, we saw the damage, we repaired and arranged it so that we could return to pray tonight. "

Mordechai Atia is a veteran worshiper in a synagogue, he also came today to help and clean up.

By evening he had already arrived with the three-legged cycle to pray.

"I have lived here and prayed in the synagogue for 20 years. There was a big explosion, we heard from the house, I saw the damage. All the worshipers came, we will win and we have to give a hard blow to Hamas."
